A Note About Changing Diets

Whenever you offer your dog(s) a new diet, introduce it to them gradually over a period of a week or two. Start off with about 10% of the new food and slowly build up to the maximum that you want to serve.  Active dog foods like Great Life contain probiotics and enzymes that assist in the digestion and absorption of foods. These are very beneficial for the dogs but changing a dog's food quickly can lead to some intestinal distress. Great Life is nice because you can give your dog a variety of tastes without having to change their diet.  The buffalo is better than beef in that it is lower in fats and buffalos are not subject to mad cow disease.

Keep It Fresh

We recommend purchasing enough dog food that will last about a month. Dog food usually contains a high portion of protein and some fat that can easily spoil from exposure to air.  Ordering multiple bags is the best way to keep the food fresh and your dog happy.
